I'm in the planning stage of building my first robot. However, I cannot find a good motor to suit my needs. Here are some specific things I need:
- Preferably a 9 vdc motor (I'll be using an Arduino so this is the perfect voltage)
- A good speed, but not too weak
- "Medium" sized, 2 or 3 times bigger than the standard micro motor (I want it to go on a base that's about 10x8 inches)
- Gearbox is fine
The robot will primarily be used outdoors, although on mostly concrete, being able to drive on grass or some other light terrain would be a nice addition. I will be using "tank steering" in which each motor is not only connected to a wheel, but a chain leading to another wheel on the same side. The robot will be carrying quite some weight since I'm building a stereotypical nerf tank.
Anyone have any good motors they've used in the past or have seen that you can recommend? Thanks in advance.
