Wireless Systems

Hello,

Just a general question. Do you envision yourself or your company moving to a Wireless Sensor system? Of course this depends on what you do, but considder you have a large warehouse/manufacturing area within which you have things you want to monitor, or you do have things that you are monitoring (temperature, fluid levels etc), if your current system is completely wired, what would be the likelyhood of you moving to a completely wireless sensor system?

Or are you using a wireless sensor system now?

I worked for a industrial design company recently, and here is what I saw as a trend. When it comes to safety and security, a wired option is standard for in building systems. This would include fire alarms, warning lights/horns, intercoms, etc.

When it came to ambient sensors, monitoring weather, or non critical applications the company was investigating solutions.

Now with the cloud based sensing companies popping up, I am sure we will see a pervasive use of wireless sensors.
