HI,

Its my final year , i am an electrical engr .

I have to select a project for fyp, which of course is a tough thing, i want some help from you, i am posting because 6 of my ideas were rejected and now i am sad too, so please suggest me some mind blowing projects.

I am good at programing in matlab, arduino, c lang, also am good in electronics.

while suggesting ideas please eleborate the approach as well which of course is the most important thing

Thanks!

Actually it might help if you listed ALL your rejected ideas  -it would give us something to work on !

    the

1-quadcopter , reason, because its not a new tech now.

2-3dprinter, reason, because i was unable to use some new approach.

3-voice recognotion based whellchair, reason, because i cant use a prebuild algorithm and developing new is problem because i am not confident.

4-Android controlled home automation with arduino+bluetooth, reason, there is nothing new and implementing is tough.

5-density based traffic controll signal operation, reason, it's too much tough to implement in real life

Is this final year of a BSc in the UK?

You seem to be rejected on "not original" and "too big/tough".

Just to get a sense of the type of project you need please give us an example of a project that the college has accepted.

the college accepts any thing , i.e done by your own, means to build something from scratch, not to use prebuild things alot

There are open innovation competitions around that throw up ideas for projects, for example:

seeking truly innovative ideas, concepts and technologies that can help the homes of tomorrow be realised.

In the current call, we are keen to explore technologies developed in WATER MANAGEMENT as follows:

    • Novel water heating technologies including microwave based
    • Induction heating technologies
    • Novel coatings for water storage tanks
    • Reduction of fresh water usage (particular targeting laundry applications)
    • Water recycling/reduction in home applications
    • Novel Dishwasher technologies including water/detergent reduction.

In the current call, we are keen to explore technologies developed in ENERGY HARVESTING as follows:

    • Recovering/Reusing waste heat generation in air conditioners
    • Thermo Electric Generators
    • Integrated Home appliances to improve their efficiency
    • Highly efficient axial fans
    • New air conditioner based technologies.

Anything inspire you? Induction heating of water is easy to achieve in the Lab, Energy harvesting is manageable too. Do some background reading and come up with a scheme.
