Robots that use two legs for movement seems very clumsy. What they need is fluid movement that also looks cool to get around. That’s exactly what robot enthusiast Vagabond Works has done with his Land Crawler eXtreme. Now that I think of it, more robots should have the moniker extreme somewhere in their naming scheme. Anyway the walker was based off of a similar design reminiscant of Theo Jansen’s wind walking Strandbeest. From what I gathered from Vagabond Works blog he uses a 7.2V 5000mAh Ni-MH battery for a power source and is interfaced through a 1.4 inch LCD unit.
