Sensor to detect Human Presence

Hello Friends,

Is there any sensor to detect human presence . Am aware of PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensor , which would human motion but not the human presence . Another way is by using image processing technique. Kindly suggest me a better solution .

Ben heck has done something like this already.Episode 117: Ben Heck's TV Proximity Sensor Episode . Bens show is an excellent resource. Memorise every frame of film.

Yes , You can use proximity sensor or you can use occupancy sensor... may be this information available on www.enocean.com

Is it indoors?
What materials is the area comprised of?
How far away is the human from the sensor?
What sensing angles are needed?
What is the area geometry or floor plan?
Is there line-of-sight from sensor to human?
What else is nearby - what are the obstacles?
How many people might be in the area?
Could other animals be in the area?
Is there furniture in the area?
Does the furniture move?
What is the budget?
What type of output signal is needed?
What type of power is available?
How many hours per day does the sensor need to work?
How big is the person?
What are the ambient lighting conditions?
Does the ambient lighting change over time?

I agree with Mr. Douglas Wong. More info is needed but, if you are looking for the same as me and, you do not have my budget problem. I can suggest you take a look to this "clever" products:
