I'm ok with it, but adding so many messages (rather than editing one post and adding to the list) is generating a ton of e-mail alerts which might be too much for others:
Editing is a good way to get info unnoticed.
It's (what could be) a list of academic papers. Much better in fact as a list. Perhaps even with hyperlinks to them..
There are so few people commenting here, if anyone is interested in the subject-matter enough to dig deeper, then the list won't go unnoticed.
w3_995m needs to do his own homework. A quick delete of emails is also useful.
That makes no sense. If he needs to do his homework, how is a flood of notifications any better than a simple list?
Do what you wish. I'm merely pointing out that you're generating a flood of notifications for everyone subscribed, and while that might be good in some circumstances, there seems to be zero benefit when the content could just be appended to a list in this case.
I'm not here to do his work, he needs to do the list himself.
Perhaps even with hyperlinks to them..
A list of hyperlinks would be good, but that would likely send it into moderation though.
Which asks the question, if you add to a long list of hyperlinks via an edit, does it go back into moderation each time ?
I don't know, but I count 17 articles, one reply at a time. After a few, you might know that you're going to find more, and could add them in one go, so that moderation only occurs once. But it's moot anyway, since it appears that there wasn't a desire to add URLs because that's work the OP could do.
I'm not sure URLs was the core issue here.
A flood of emails to those who aren't subscribed as well! Should have been one post on how to search for that list.
Agree, a link to show how to obtain the list (e.g. the search term used in IEEE Xplore), perhaps a screenshot of the first dozen hits etc., are all good approaches too.
