Poll -- How Much Do You Know about Time of Flight Sensors?

Hi all!

I'm preparing to propose an activity on element14 for a program I manage regarding Time of Flight sensors. It would be helpful for me to know everyone's knowledge level. I'd appreciate your input in this poll. Thanks.

rscasny In an aircraft with tricycle retracts there are 3 sensors they are commonly called WOWR, WOWL, WOWC for Weight On  Wheel. When all three sensors show WOW (OFF) then a clock starts. The Clock is TOF

ops! Yes, and just a little trivia, mostly older movies. Past life non-degreed engineer doing mostly hardware-software integration. typical Thursday or Friday. Boss would walk into my office and drop a piece of equipment that I have never seen before with a book hopefully and tell me to interface it to some computer, which I may have had never seen after I muttered under my breath he would say I need to have this done before (some unreasonable time) next Friday. LOL. I was a systems test engineer at Interdata in NJ which we got the system before QC got to it. I learned electronics basically in grade school. my Dad worked for RCA Hightstown and always bringing stuff home. I was building stuff for the local hams, and in the 7th grade, I built a transistor 1-octave organ, using 2N404s which Dad picked up.   My first computer of adding machine was built-in HS over a two year period. It was built from RTL and some rotary stepping relays. memory was built out of surplus form H relays. So for an 8-bit word you read, write, latch relays

It could add and subtract, It was two full relay racks.

Later got into the M6800 eval board witch I wired into an S1000 chassis for more memory. Later it was replaced by a TDL Z80 CPU card which would not work with my IMSAI 8080 front panel. A week later it worked as well. My gig at Interdata got me a Teletype    ASR35 which was scrapped after one of the QC morons swang out the 4 or 5 power supplies without the pull-out support legs. My S100 Box was powered by the beast on the left! image

I went to Trenton State for Industrial Engineering with Computer Science and Electronics as minors I never finished my major by my minors were almost done.

Now I mess with flight simulators.

hmm about triva? here my get out of grade school test. NO CHEATING

Who was Galileo Galilei? what did he do, what did he invent, how and what lead up to his death.

Now just for fun.  NO CHEATING  all very hard.

In the movie  "It's a Wonderful Life" 1. where was the dance shot, 2. towards the end of the film he runs down the street saying "hello this or that", what was the movie playing in the Biju Theater? and for extra points name the characters in both films! LOL (No Cheating)

In the movie "The Flight of the Phoenix" (19655) where any of the aircraft flying real, If so what happened?

    one more

In the "Strategic Command" was Jimmy Stewart really flying, the B-36? Yes/No Reson   LOL

Oh BTW what was the first microprocessor???
