DC Voltage Measurement Accuracy: AD584KH voltage reference

Follow up on  DC Voltage Measurement Accuracy: Measuring DC voltage with high accuracy on a DMM6500 .
I bought a little voltage reference based on Analog Device's AD584 .

image

The reference is the AD584KH. The kit supports the 4 programmable reference values. It comes with a label showing measurements on a HP 3458A

Calibration values (25° / 49% humidity):

  • 2.49974
  • 5.00203
  • 7.50113
  • 10.00277

Calibrated by http://www.haoqielec.com/wap/en/aboutus.html

Checking Keithley DMM6500

I let the reference and DMM warm up for an hour. Room temperature was 26°. Humidity unknown

I used Keithley's TSP script "Measuring DC voltage with high accuracy". I used that in the previous post too.
The Test Script Builder log gives a higher resolution than the 6500 display.
I let the reference settle for 5 minutes on each value before running the script and getting the measurement

Could it be a ground current? What if you battery power and also connect the USB ground?

The marking is A1 HB, or possibly A1sHB, and it looks like it is Si2301 (P-ch MOSFET). I have some genuine Si2301 so I could compare the markings if needed (or swap them out). The on resistance according to the Si2301 PDF datasheet may be approx 130 mohm perhaps.

This is the area near the voltage output connections of the AD chip, and it does look like the drain connections (pin 3 of the SOT-23 packages) of Q2 and Q3 are going to the AD chip pins 2 and 3 respectively (the pins at the 5 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions in the photo below).

Pin 1 of the AD chip (the rightmost pin in the photo below) is going directly to the output connector on the right, as well as to the source pin of Q2.

    1. I’m curious what Q1..Q6 are, bipolar of Fet. In any case, using a devices with and “on” resistance and temp variance is iffy for the programming the output voltage.

I see! Interesting. The white QR code goes to 91make dot taobao dot come, but that redirects to a login page in Chinese : (

Maybe they just drop an 8-ball on the numeric keypad ...

I've expected the QR code on the sticker to lead to a fancy certificate specific to your board... Oh well, its reads out a static string, 浩祺电子科技, that translates to
"Haoqi Electronic Technology". Could not read out the white one on the PCB.
