I like the style! There's a kids TV character famous for the multiple glasses too : ) Also, you've answered the unspoken question that the glasses can indeed actually work like that!!

All of these things are too small for me to handle or even see. As you get older you will understand.

I feel your pain, but is it practical to have it labeled from the side? Is it necessary to take every out to check the values even when sorted in the tray?

Half the label is visible so it's not too bad (I considered labeling the tops, but was worried I'd accidentally swap the tops and the contents around!).

I now just store the parts keeping them on their carrier strips, but I've still got some in trays to use up.

What size are they? Most of them looks like 0402.

This tray has mostly 0402 (some 0603) small-value capacitors and inductors for RF projects. Normally I prefer 0603 or 0805 though!

Nice way to store SMD components. Looks quite compact. I always feel the reels take up too much space. Can you share a link for where to buy these? Slight smile

I used to keep them in medicine organizer boxes. But now I switched to keep them in reels. ( very few selected Resisters and Caps ).

It's this one: uk.farnell.com/.../9584480 although price had gone crazy. The method I use now is storing the strips in small florist/coin envelopes, and then they can be stored in order, vertically, in a record card case (or old CD storage type of tray).
