Nokia kickstarts Wireless Charging with JBL PowerUp Charging Speaker and Fatboy Recharge Pillow
The Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 come with integrated wireless charging as standard. What’s needed to go with that is a charging module like the JBL PowerUp Charging Speaker or Fatboy Recharge Pillow. Nokia is a member of the Wireless Power Consortium and as such as chosen to support the Qi (pronounced ‘Chee’) standard for wireless charging. To build a true wireless charging world that all mobile phone users can be a part of needs open standards and Qi is part of that design ethic.
To this end, Nokia wireless charging devices will work with any phone using the Qi wireless charging standard.
Along with announcing the imminent arrival of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone 78 smartphones, Nokia has also announced a couple of partnerships with accessory experts to make sure you can make the most of the wireless charging functions in the new smartphones.
The Fatboy Recharge Pillow provides a fun way to recharge your Nokia Lumia 920 or Nokia Lumia 820 as all you need to do is lay down your device on the padded cover and it will automatically start to charge.
