MRF24J40MA 802.15.4 RF Modules

Hi Petr, I actually used these modules in a project for my university course, and I do highly recommend them, versatile and effective yet relatively easy to get up and running (once you know what to do).

I do agree with you though, the example firmware is over-whelming to say the least - but the important thing to remember if most of it you do not need to know and should not even bother spending the time to read (unless of course you wish to make improvements)

As for getting started I found the MiWi P2P stack to be the simplest, I would recommend starting by trying to get the demo application up and running on some hardware so you know everything can work OK and then moving on to modifying it / building up your own.

The best way to do this is ensure you are using a PIC from one of the families that the P2P stack has been tested on by microchip (can be deduced by looking at the #ifdef PIC******.h) and then you can look at the schematics for the relevant starter kit (again, check for the define in the header files, will be PICDEMZ, PIC18Explorer, or another one)) and copy that configuration on breadboard.

Once you have a working implementation of the demo firmware I am sure it will be a lot easier for you to develop it into your application....

I can send you some basic code from early-on in my project but I fear it would possibly just confuse you more + you would still need to make all the changes to make it relevant to your PIC (problems just waiting to happen!)

I found why can't run expample. It was cuz i want make more smaller stack than this in example. I'm like small programs so I was trying make MiWi P2P for PIC with 4KB of memory it's really small:(

Now i prepare order new chips with much more memory so I think that will be better.

I want to run Zigbee protocol with this module but it;s too confusing! there are many files and headers and i do not know where should i start from! now i'm reading the Application Note but i do not think that it's enough.

could you please help me? where should i start from?
