Have you ever had one of those days where people incessantly talk about mindless things such as the weather, or your significant other asks if they look fat in this outfit? The replies you give seem unending and you don’t really care how the weather is or what kind of hideous outfit their wearing but you drone mindlessly on with responses so you don’t hurt the other person’s feelings. Well a Spanish designer and technologist named Gerard Rallo has designed a device called a ‘Reiterative Communication Aid’ that will do the talking for you so you can continue with more important things such as life. What the device does is monitor every word you’ve ever said and detects patterns in your speech. Then after it analyzes those patterns the device replaces you in a conversation through a digital read-out. Really this is no joke! The device is one of three other projects Rallo and his team designed at the Royal College of Art.
