Help for a simple wireless communication project

Hi all, I am making a presenter which requires transmission and receiving of signals from the presenter itself, to the PC. As I am really new to wireless applications, I would like to seek help from this community and hope someone could give me an idea on how to implement this task.

 

The presenter i've made has 3 buttons, one for a certain function to be executed by the computer. what i hope to achieve is to press the button on the presenter, and the presenter will send a signal to the PC by bluetooth and the PC will use the received signal to execute certain tasks.

 

This is the part that i am stuck at. What components do i for this project? I've heard that i will need a bluetooth module, micro controller, bluetooth adapter and a starter kit. Are these stuff the right kind?

    Using our configuration software you set the adapter to the baud rate and other settings you need to match what your presenter is expecting, you program the first adapter (press the PROGRAM button) and then pair the adapters (PAIR ADAPTER) and follow the instructions. The two adapters then work together just like a cable. Using our adapters for cable replacement is an ideal application.

     

    On your PC you can have a USB or an RS232 connector on the Bluetooth adapter. What kind of connector does your Presenter have?

     

    When you are selecting which adapter you need you need to know what range you are looking for. What is the maximum distance between your PC and your Presenter?
