chips for a vox intercom with Bluetooth

I'm looking for a vox chip for an intercom that would do preamp as well. (I'm looking to interface with various headsets with dynamic, electret, etc. mics)  I'm also thinking that it would be great to add bluetooth a2dp,hsp for the purpose of having music and being able to carry out phone conversations.  I'm actually having more luck finding bluetooth chips than the vox chip of which I found the discontinued motorola mc2830 (which I like for the fact that it appears to not only function by volume but also by identifying the difference between noise and voice)

    Perhaps an easier question, I'm looking for a listing (preferably searchable) of ICs, so that I could perhaps fulfill my need.  I've spent time on digikey and Mouser, but their descriptions are just too cryptic for my consumption.  My father used to have an exhaustive book (from the early '80s) of the ICs that one of the major manufacturers made...  I know that this is much more difficult now, there being SO many more ICs per manufacturer, but there should be some resource out there somewhere?
