Touch screens are fast becoming the norm for interaction with our devices and gadgets. While they are very useful, they are limited in that they are usually connected physically to the device itself. The future however looks promising in that our gadgets will probably use some form of touch screen that can be projected onto the surfaces we’re using at the time, such as a table or counter. With that in mind let me introduce you to Light Blue Optics new projector called Light Touch. The projector uses a holographic laser projection system that displays a high resolution image at 10.1 inches onto any flat surface. You can also interact with the screen through the use of built in infra-red system that senses touch and movement. The unit has built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections and will come with 2GB of onboard flash memory that can be upgraded up to 32GB. Light touch uses Windows CE as its operating system and also uses Adobe Flash Lite that will give the user improved functionality while using the internet. While Light Touch is still in its developmental stages you can get all of its technical specs here: http://lightblueoptics.com/products/light-touch/specifications/
