ETDM光通信系统复用/解复用模块设计及FEC编码的研究

本文首先介绍了实验室的40Gbps ETDM光通信实验系统,该系统采用FEC编码技术提高光通信的传输质量,使用复用/解复用模块与FEC编码器相连接,实现高速与低速电信号之间的转换。针对复用/解复用模块及40Gbps ETDM光通信实验系统的FEC编码性能,本文主要进行了如下两方面研究: 1、对复用/解复用模块进行了信号完整性仿真与设计,确定了复用/解复用模块的布线前规则,以保证高速电信号的质量。以信号完整性理论为基础,采用Cadence公司的仿真软件SigXplorer,针对复用/解复用模块中的10Gbps信号和622Mbps信号,先后进行了反射,衰减,串扰和地弹的布线前仿真。通过仿真得出以下结论:为有效抑制信号的反射,采用戴维宁端接效果最好;当10Gbps信号或622Mbps信号在传输线上传输时,为使信号的衰减小于5%,对应的传输线长度要分别小于700mil和10in,而且PCB板基材的损耗因子要小于0.05;为减小串扰,同时考虑到PCB板的面积有限,线间距设置为20mil比较合适。 2、以信息论理论为基础,采用matlab仿真软件分析了FEC编码对40Gbps ETDM光通信系统性能的影响。分析了光通信系统的三种不同的信道模型:BSC, BAC,chi-square,并得到40Gbps ETDM光通信系统在不同信道模型下的信道容量,以及40Gbps ETDM光通信系统理论上的编码性能极限,通过比较发现BSC信道模型常常低估编码器的性能。其次,对RS(255,239)码在BSC和BAC信道下的性能做了仿真。仿真结果显示,RS(255,239)码在BSC信道中的性能和理论性能极限相同;在BAC信道中的性能低于理论性能极限。最后分析了40Gbps ETDM光通信系统对残余色散及非线性损伤的容忍度,通过对比有无RS(255,239)编码时系统的性能,可以看出FEC编码能补偿ETDM光通信系统中的传输损伤。
