I received the kit today. I just checked the main blog of the contest and I found that the eval kit contains the following -
However, I only received the power supply, the MAX32620FTHR MCU, interface shield and the MAX25405 sensor board.
The ribbon cable and the USB cable seem to be missing. Are they supposed to be a part of the contest eval kit?
This description come from Maxim website. https://www.maximintegrated.com/en/products/sensors/MAX25405EVKIT.html I think that this time the kit was not bundled by Element14 but they froward kit packed by Maxim. All devkits from maxim (which I had worked with) always contained all specified. My MAX25405 kit is still on the way and I am out of home. At Friday/Saturday I will check and write back if my kit contain these cables.
USB cable should not be issue. It is standard cable. You can find them bundled with many other devices. You most probably have one bundled with your mobile phone. If you dont, then you can get it in almost every store including many non-IT stores.
With ribbon cable it is more complicated. Accodring to schematics in datasheet, onboard connector is Samtec FTSH-108-01-L-DV-K which mates with Samtec FFSD family. Cables starting with FFSD-08-D should be compatible. Many other 1.27mm pitch ribbon cables may work. Search for FFSD-08-D in your favourite store. Other numbers in code specify length (I recmmend at least 10 inch). For example FFSD-08-D-18.00-01-N which is 18 inch long is currently avalaible at Farnell should work.
Hi misaz!
Thanks you. Yes, USB cable is not an issue. I have plenty of these USB cables. However, the connector cable is something rare. I don't have it with me. I'll go to my local electronics market later this week (it's festival time in India so shops will be closed on wednesday) and they should have it.
Thank you so much for the help. Awaiting to see your kit contents
