I was having some problems with the Lattepanda software, I had to reinstall Windows, when I was doing it I found in the bios that you can enable a function that turn the lattepanda on when power is provided.

It must be stored in some place that it's read only
In my case the recovery process wasn't working either
Good to know in case I need to re-install. I imagine that we are all running headless (those of us that have the lattePanda inside the enclosure), but I am careful to always shutdown Windows before turning off power. I do that as a matter of course with any OS, but I imagine there will always be potential issues with power failure...
maybe you were bitten by the same problem as I have experienced - manual says: insert usb disk, cycle power and it will reinstall.
It assumes BIOS boot order of: "USB drive then internal disk", but in my case it was "internal disk then USB drive". Had to change boot order and reinstall gone as stated in the manual...
