Nucleo STM32L476 issue

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with my Nucleo STM32 I received for the design challenge. I downloaded the drivers and got everything loaded. When I plug in the board the red LED on the board just flashes, nothing else. The jumpers are all in the right location. My computer won't recognise the board is even plugged in. I tried on my other computers and I have the same results.

Any ideas? I'm needing to get started on the developing of my project.

You get that sometimes. Annoying as you're unsure if it's a cable, the connection, a driver, or something else ...

Yes, studies have shown that 50% of all electronic problems are cable related.

50% of all electronic problems are cable related.

Would the other 50% be lack of power ??

We have a maintenance system where they try to get you to categorise the fault.

Problem is they have failed to look at previous information and include the right categories, so sometimes the box for "design deficiency" gets the tick.

I'm picking that there are a high number of faults where the system is incorrectly designed.

The other 50% ran the whole gambit of operator error, wrong sequence and even the occasional real faulty equipment.

The study I read said they used the data to change debugging procedures to verify the obvious first, like power, cables connected, sober operator, etc.

They should color code 'power only cables'. Why it is not done? Of course the cables that come with those power adapters must be power only ones. But it is really difficult to keep track of them. If I know how to identify them, I can at least label them.
