RDM3600 RFID COMPONENT

I have been using the Arduino platform for a while now(about 6 months) and I tried to hook up the RDM3600 RFID reader to my Arduino Uno and it seems like the reader does not communicate with the board. I present a card, but the serial interface does not display a serial number or anything. I am following this tutorial:

I modified the code to get an indication that the setup was complete:

Does anyone have any idea why I don't get any communication from the RDM3600 when I present a RFID tag.

Ok. Module arrived today!

I have hooked up the module to an Arduino Leonardo and run the following code:

#include <SoftwareSerial.h>

SoftwareSerial RFID(10, 11);

int i;

void setup() {
  RFID.begin(9600);
  Serial.begin(9600);
  Serial.println("ready");
}

void loop() {
  if (RFID.available() > 0) {
    i=RFID.read();
    Serial.print(i, DEC);
    Serial.println(" next");
  }
}

(Note the change from pins 2 & 3 to 10 & 11...)

The output is as follows:

49 next
48 next
48 next
55 next
48 next
70 next
49 next
54 next
69 next
66 next
69 next
3 next

48 next

I have tried a couple of tokens in the 125KHz band, and they both work fine.
