Raspberry Pi - Monitoring Seawater Values

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to design a raspberry pi to monitor the value within a marine fish tank. It wouldn't have to measure specific values as such but possibly more a variation of what would be the calibration solution (natural seawater). Basically from the variation i you could decide a water change is needed. Would this still need to measure each specific value ? If the later is it possible to probe or sensor the following ?

 

Calcium - in ppm

Alkalinity - in dKH

Salinity - in ppt or sg

PH -

Magnesium - in ppm

Phosphate - in ppm

 

I appreciate there will be alot of coding required but there is also alot around to help.

 

Sorry i hope this makes sense i have very limited knowledge in this field but i am still reading and learing about the possibilities ! Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Steve,

     

    A water change is recommended on regular basis, even when parameters seem to be good! However, it would be nice to have sensors for all these parameters and avoid performing the liquid tests. I know it is pretty easy to connect a pH sensor to raspberry pi and maybe a salinity sensor. However, calcium, magnesium, etc might be harder to measure and the tools I find are really pricey. Let me know if you find something for measuring the salinity. So far, I found this one:
