Update: Shipping of Kit for Light Up Your Life

Hello Challengers,

I believe we have all of the kit in the office now, but getting in the way of that is the weekend and a UK bank holiday, and a vacation day of mine!

So it may be a couple of weeks and a bit before the shipment labels are created and the parts are collected before moving out.

Thought you'd deserve a heads up on the kind of timeline we're working on.

Edit: We are currently waiting to see if the courier collects parcels on wednesday for other campaigns before we create the shipment for these parts.

They're currently sat in boxes in the store room, and E14Alice is writing up the shipping labels today - you should receive a notification soon, and hopefully, they'll be picked up tomorrow. Tentatively…

Next challenge: making sure the courier picks them up we ship them out from the office, rather than the warehouse because of the nature of the items and how they're sent to us. So don't be surprised…

No problem; I'm making great progress on paper already so a little extra time to brainstorm works out better for me anyway.

If it needs to be it can be, but doesn't building also involve planning? Slight smile I think it'd be great to see some forum discussions around what people intend to make / create / demonstrate with the kit.

You mean that mini heatwave wasn't caused by all those e14 soldering irons prototyping circuits for this challenge ?

I already did start planning and i am planning to put out a post even before the build date starts. I hope that will be counted during judgement or only posts between the official dates matter?

Hi, I am one of the contender for the light up your life challenge. I have started planning out my design and it seems for me i would require 33x1312121320437 LEDs and  27x1311610030140 LEDs. where as i am only in need of 15x1312020030000 and 15x13210530000 LEDs.  So is it possible to have them substituted?

Hi arvindsa , for fairness the kit is the same for every Challenger. However, any Challenger can supplement the kit with other hardware they purchase or repurpose from other items.
