Background
Put simply the PlectralEFFECTS project is a new form of input that a guitarist can work with in their performances to trigger effects. Instead of effects being triggered in more traditional manners; Pedal or envelope follower, PlectralEFFECTS takes a new approach. Striving to achieve accurate timing and direction in which the string was sounded for a broader variety of audio genre / styles.
The project has evolved to provide MIDI stream. Plectrum input information, ie. Plectrum UP / DOWN direction note and timing data will be available as MIDI track information which can be used for further processing in the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) - eg. Cakewalk, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Cubase, Logic, etc.
This project is one of continuous flux, and although the same principals for operation apply, some of the scope of the project has varied due to resources / hardware limitations.
