Hey All,

 

So just a little update - hopefully it'll help me get motivated to keep at it before the weeks end!!

My project is still coming along - alas I'm behind schedule. I'm guessing the whole blogging and updating concept has thrown me. Thus far I've been building my project then coming back and doing the blog (most of the time, validating my blog by rebuilding the steps as I go..) - first I been type it up in a document and then cut and pasting to the blog site. My question: How do others do it? What process do you do?

Not that it's an excuse, but I don't think I've been helped with a laptop failure earlier in the build - which I actually lost quite a few notes and photos and I guess my time management has gone out the window with two little kids, a full time job and as Murphy would have it - my side WISP business suffered a crappy network failure.

 

How are other coping?! I See a couple of almost complete, a few look like they failed to start, and a few are in my boat.

 

Loving reading the updates and this is my little hope of motivation

  • Blogging definitely takes a lot of time.

    I usually try to blog after I reach milestone or when I get stuck. The narrative can suffer by doing it this way but progress to a milestone is hard enough without getting continuously mired in blog editing.

    I usually started my blogs when I was like 90% done with a logical step. Blogging added a heck of a lot of time though, that is for sure. However an added benefit was that I could pull up the blog posts quicker than launching Eagle or digging through my notes. That being said, it often took a few days to do some blog posts when I would have rather worked on the project...
