Detecting devices on the I2C bus

yamanoorsai

It has been quite a journey and I am making progress at snail's pace. While the SDK is shipped with a lot of examples, it is somewhat difficult to find requisite information.

I wanted to perform a scan of the I2C bus to detect devices. I got it working but I was not able to get the driver working.

The I2C bus scanner didn't work either. It turns out that the I2C devices needed a reset.

Onward to integrating the driver again.

I confess my approach is more work. I have a Raspberry Pi setup to support I2C. I used that as my tool of choice to confirm I2C devices on a network. I find since I'm more familiar with that tool, I have some confidence I'm doing things right. When I can see it with that, I switch to the other tools for fine tuning.
