Congratulations, everyone!

I'm excited for the official sponsored kits to be shipping out shortly to the addresses in everyone's applications. I'll continue keeping in touch with everyone over the coming days and weeks to make sure everything is ok. Don't forget, all of the challenge requirements, links to the kit and dates can be found here. Don't be afraid to reach out, I'm here to help Slight smile

With the challengers announced, we are now looking for two volunteer judges from the community to assist me in choosing the winners for this design challenge. More information on this to come next week, but please do leave a comment or DM me if this would be of interest to you.

Yes, just got a message from TNT/FedEx for taxes and customs!
They are charging me 201 USD/ 17,000 INR.
I would buy a kit for that charge!
Unfortunately, I will reject the kit and won't be participating.

Ah, that's not great. It shouldn't happen ... it should've been sent duty pre-paid as far as I can tell JoRatcliffe .

I didn't get charged here in Australia, where we ordinarily will collect taxes, and the paperwork seems to indicate "sender pays". Not sure what happened to both yourself dougw  and rsjawale24 . I guess this is part of "teething problems" given that community shipping is coming out of UK rather than the US now.

Well as long as the document states the incoterms as DDP (delivery duty paid), the receiver doesn't pay. Maybe they missed it this time.

And FedEx is anyway costly, they charge additional fees for filing documents on your behalf plus the customs tax is there.
