SFH: Week 6 - First looks at the app

Yes, it says Week 6, no, we did not time travel - I am just making up for some missed updates.

 

We have hit another roadblock - my Velleman K8200 does not work, so no more printed enclosure.

Anyway, while we wait for some of the last parts to arrive, I have been working like mad on the app for SFH. I finally have something to show you.

I am aware that the app is only laid out to support one uniform node - I plan to implement multiple nodes later.

Note the values on the "Overview" sceenshot. These are not hardcoded into the app - but are actually being read from the SFH server as the final version would.

Of course, the server has to get those values from somewhere, which is a JSON file that in the final version will be constantly updated with each node's values.

    Yes, it is a fully integrated system that will push updates to "Scan as you Shop", which then communicates with a base station that can call first aid staff when necessary. It has saved many lives over the years, and the number of jammy dodgers being thrown away has decreased dramatically in a study performed by the "Jammy Dodger Damage Prevention Society (JDDPS).

    Tesco Shoppers frenzy sudden impact by cart detector image

     

    Having seen the rushes in Tesco sometimes, I can understand why it would be needed along with padding and special bumpers on the carts, its a dangerous place at rush hour, especially near the jamy dodgers

     

    But on a more serious note, looks like a nice UI, I did not know Tesco was in the phone business (Hense the joke image )
