Wearable Sudden Impact and Health Monitor - Update 7

Hello Everyone, here I am back with another update on my "Wearable Sudden Impact and Health Monitor" project.  After receiving the materials and playing a little with the Analog Devices ADXL362 and ADXL375 evaluation kits, as I mentioned in my previous blog post, I started to work on my project.  So I took the Analog Devices module EVAL-ADXL375Z and I connected it through SPI interface to an Arduino nano board.  Here is a picture of the setup:

The ADXL375 modules is hanging on those wires, which are then plugged into the breadboard that holds the Arduino nano module.  The measured data is then sent to the phone that sits on the left side of the breadboard.

 

Then I wrote a program that collects the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis data from ADXL375 in case of an mechanical shock (sudden impact).  Here is a screenshot example of measured data:

Then I wrote a small app in Android Studio and I uploaded it into the phone.  This app receives ten values and displays then in the screen.  The first three values represent the sudden impact x, y, and z axis recordings of the ADXL375 accelerometer, so the app converts them into G units and displays them at the bottom of the list.  Here is a video showing an example measurement.

This is where I got so far with my wearable impact and health monitor system.  I will come back with other updates as I get more work done.
