I created this thread here for technical support regarding Infineon hardware for the element14 sustain the world challenge.

Please post all questions here, if you got issues and problems.

However, part of the challenge is also to come along with the hardware by yourself! To don't get overwhelmed by too many questions,

I want to encourage you all, that you are trying to solve small problems as well as possible by yourself first!

Furthermore, even though it's a competitive challenge, helping each other is also possible and welcome!

Yes sorry Fook Peng, that's what my colleague told me as well. I wasn't aware that we support that in DAVE. Since I'm not an expert in DAVE I guess I'm not the right person to help you here. But I will forward your concern to someone who is maybe able to help. I will let you know!

Thanks JD. I do notice that freeRTOS for XMC4700 is available in DAVE, but the problem is I don't know how to control the DC Motor shield in DAVE. Can you teach me how to do that? Thanks in advance.

Hey Fook Peng,

which kind of RTOS?
I know that we have example for the XMC1100 Bootkit and freeRTOS, take a look here (for DAVE):

Just write "freeRTOS" in keyword-filter.

And I think a few other platforms are supported as well for freeRTOS, see here:

But I think for the XMC4700 we don't have a example, but I asked a colleague already and will let you know if I'm wrong.

Hi,

Do anyone have successfully control the DC Motor shield using XMC4700 programmed by DAVE? I can control it using example code in Arduino IDE, but there Arduino can only have 2 interrupt pins. And I also couldn't find Free RTOS library for XMC4700 in Arduino IDE. It would be great if someone can teach me to do it in DAVE. Thanks in advance.
