‘Safe & Sound’ Wearables Design Challenge NOW LIVE!

Hi everyone!

Today, the element14 Community is pleased to introduce the ‘Safe & Sound’ Wearables Design Challenge, sponsored by Texas Instruments, featuring the TI MSP432P401R MCU.

To meet the Safe & Sound Challenge, members are invited to design a wearable device to protect a person from personal and environmental risks, to monitor personal health or to protect personal property from theft.

The Safe & Sound Design Challenge will have 15 sponsored Challengers who will each receive The Kit for free.  You have now until 27th January 2017 to submit your ideas to be considered as 1 of the 15. All you have to do is log in, click the ENROLL button, fill in the entry form and The Judges  will decide who the lucky 15 are and we'll announce the Challengers on 14th February 2017. Then, the fun begins...turning those ideas in to real projects that everyone can follow along with.

The Kit that each selected Challenger will receive is chock full of sensors that can detect changes in lighting, temperature, movement and more.  Your inventions don’t have to be limited by wireless mode and you’ll have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC components to use.  There’s a capacitive touch booster pack board and an LCD display – so let your imagination run wild.
