I started the first prototype of the Smart Pet Collar.
First I had to make a solid model of the actual parts.
The blue section is the main PCB and components, The yellow box is the 10-pin J-Link connector.
The green section is for the battery, and the silver and violet section is the NFC antenna.
From this I designed a simple enclosure that would fit on my pup's collar.
Then export a .stl file and print a part.
Here's a pic of the assembled unit.
Version 2 will have more of a curved interface to the collar, and an o-ring grove for a sealed top.
Update.....
Here's version 2
The enclosure is now 3 pieces held together with small screws.
The top is curved and has a cutout for the J-Link connector.
The middle is just a round cutout, I'm not going to use the NFC function at this time so I don't need the cutout for the antenna.
The bottom is a channel for the collar to slip into.
I used a translucent green for the top so I can see the LEDs light up even with the top in place.
