One of the other collaborators from the aquaponics lab has recently started to build his own system, here is a time lapse of it under construction:

 

 

We have learned a lot from building the "FAO  recommended" aquaponics system and  plan on releasing a quicker easier method for those of you who want results fast.

    Ive been to see the build and helped out a little, it is a great set-up once it is in place. We were discussing a few potential improvements/hacks after the build and have a basic sketch for one that we think will take 1 hour to build with much less piping, first prototype will be made on the 18th of December [weather permitting]. With a bit of trial and error some improvements can be had, mainly in the reduction of piping.
