Project: ferris farm post 1

I will start off this design challenge by thanking Element 14 for giving us the opportunity to participate in the challenges and also to wish the best of luck to the 14 other challengers.

I will start off this blog by detailing my plan of action for this first week I will try to post bi-weekly or more often but will defiantly post at least once a week

Week 1

Designing the parts

I am going to design the vertical farm in cad software getting each component to a standard that I am happy with

Source the parts

There are going to be a lot of parts that I can purchase right away as no matter how the design changes these parts will always be the same so I will purchase these early ion in the challenge so I can also test these as well

I will be creating a more detailed plan of what my vertical farm will do and I will include More illustrations and descriptions about the farm as I progress

they added it as my title i thought they had made it up i think it sounds like quite a good name leave people thinking what it is

Don;t worry too much, Shane, it's not a serious problem

I was wondering because this "meditech" term has obviously catch my attention. But this is also for me only the temporary prototype project name, I should find a better and original one for the future.

i did not see that there was another challenger with the same title i have now changed the title to ferris farm based on the look of the design and how it will work taking the idea from the ferris wheel

Hi Shane,

It is up to you of course, but you may want to change the name of your project, because Enrico is working on an different design challenge project called Meditech too, so it may get confusing. Or maybe call it "Vertical Farming Meditech" or something?
Anyway, good luck with your project - a minimum of one blog post is needed per week to stay within the rules, but blog post content quality (and videos/photos/code etc) will help too.
Also, a brief overview per post (doesn't have to be a formal 'overview' it could just be some well-thought sentences near the beginning of the posts) could help those who miss reading a few posts in your series - just a personal opinion as an avid reader of challenge blog posts : )
