Here is an update on the build again
since my last post i have installed the bearings and started work on the rotation this has proven more difficult than expected due to small inaccuracies in the wood
to compensate for this i have been gradually sanding the disks in areas that are slightly catching and the disks are rotating more freely each time
i have added a groove into one of the disks which sits a cable that will rotate around the disk and the motor to give the required rotation
i am currently using the sample code that was kindly given by RWReynolds to test the motor
i have wired up one of the 3 LED boards that will sit above the plants each board will use 5 red 4 blue and 3 green LEDs these will not run through the MCU as they will be always on but i will have a switch on the top to turn them on and off when not in use
I have been doing a little work on the programming side but still having some issues with this not worrying to much at the moment as there is still alot of work to be done on the mechanical side of things
i will leave you here and get back to making fine adjustments to the design and my next post will be a video of the working rotation
