Wireless Power Challenge - Understanding my requirements.

Previous Post - Wireless Power - Eagle Cad update, Template, and issues

Hi Community,

I have finally understood the concept to a good enough point to know my limitation and what is required to create the schematic diagram. I haven't had much time read other blogs at this stage but I believe it was mention about the external power converter used in the Wurth Load board. After all the tests etc., and knowing what I wanted, the board showed itself my answer underneath. I found the equivalent chip used and place it into my cart ready to order when the PCB design is finished. I have completed a rough video blog of the update and a bit of tech info only analytically looked at and simplified to the hilt.

My next stage is to complete the schematic and PCB design and look at doing something constructive with my video blogging, Video are improving but there needs to be a pep in my voice over plus a better position for the camera. I have decided to look at pre-production instead of off the cuff, I am not very good at it.

Thanks for that, I am working on improving blog information, although I have to incorporate my university exams coming up as well. I am though looking at a summary blog post to incorporate all my finding etc soon.

Glass is a great medium, I hope this project will take on an all flavour application that can be improvised for more than one solution.

I also get an idea that Ti are definitely watching the outcome as I see a bunch of product videos from Ti being released that follow some blog post that are presented on this community website. One in particular that stood out is the recent post on sensing people sitting on a bike seat - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjEO4PsTnP4

    Hi Malcolm,

Very nice informative video, and about the right length I think for this too.

You might want to add links to your other blog posts in this series (or a reference here to the top level one), just to make them easier to find as more are created.

So, I think you mentioned it may possibly operate through around 13mm of gap. This could be very interesting for (say) installing sensors outdoors on the outside of a single pane of glass, or even temporarily running some electronics outside of a vehicle (such as a video camera). This is really great, there seems to be a lot of possibilities.

In addition to the blog due to audio problems, the frequency measured at the transmitter coils swing from 119KHz to 196KHz. The coils Q factor peaks at about 150KHz.
