Additional Coils

I may be missing the point here, but I need input. Lots of it!

I got an email from element14 regarding the supply of addional coils. Without the management IC or module? What am I supposed to do with them?

 

Additionally I want to ask how and if a single coil can be used like in the case of a phone charger?

    Luckily I come from the bottom of the world, and understand 'merci' Gern geschehen This link suggests there are some that don't, although I'm not sure its entirely accurate.

    I think the idea is to use them instead of the existing coils.

    Some of the entrants are using hardware designs that preclude the demo kit coils.

     

    There will be some change of the characteristics, and Simon did a posting linking to the datasheet for each of the other coils some time ago in Wireless Power.

    You may have read Hendriks very excellent post and his table of distance and displacement.

    You have also been granted a voucher for additional purchases, so you could purchase IC's and parts if you wanted to make the full system.

    Sharing the pcb design (since we all have Eagle) would save some of the others, and provide a good start for many others.

     

    I haven't quite figured out how we order the coil/coils and Christian is on holiday so I am not asking him.

My suggestions for the additional coils? I'm already having a tough time finding the datasheet of the one provided on the receiver...
