    I would like to take the time to have some Father - Daughter time. My 9yo is getting interested in science and IT. Her school is not great at this and over the last year we have covered geology – volcanos (experimenting coloured water and bi-carb) great fun… very messy!! image Also the weather and water cycle.

     

    I would love to set up a time lapse unit to capture a day or even a bird house to bring nature alive! And at the heart of this is Pi, where I can help my daughter learn to program, to achieve these goals.

     

    Our children are our future, and we need to help them as much as possible to be great at everything and achieve their potential in ways that as children (us) we never had the opportunities. This would is changing, let us (as adults) help change it for the better, and learn to respect our environment and work with nature. This is why I love spending time with my daughter, so we both learn together. Simple!   image

  • I would set up a media center so that my girlfriend could stop complaining about the WDTV that randomly stops working when she's watching tv-shows.

  • Well, i would use it to extend my media server, already built with a raspberry pi 2

  • I'm try to find an easy and good working media player and administration for all my movies. Since Neutrino I'm still looking for a comfortable solution, but still can't find one. May be the RP2 will be the solution? Will let you know as soon as I've won it ;-)

  • There's a toad migration route across a busy nearby backroad. These animals are very sensitive to weather conditions. I'd install a weather station to give us live and local weather data so that volunteers can respond to warden the crossing.
