Suggestion: Custom tablet

Tablets are sooo 1992... -> Toshiba-Dynapad-1992

It would be nice to see if it is possible to rebuild/hack an old tablet with modern hardware, or maybe create a custom one that can run something like android, or Linux maybe.

I just joined the element14 community, but religiously watching TBHS on Youtube since last year. Yeah, religiously.

If so You would be left with a 3" tablet using RPi. Best bet, by a dumb morden one, hack it and put in custom enclousure

Jason, Royston, I agree.

Thinking about it, the electronic hardware in those tablets was probably weird and scary enough so we don't talk about them anymore.

Maybe a smart home remote control tablet using a slimmed down RPi would fit in. The idea of slimming down the Pi in BH's RPi Point and Shoot Camera is inspiring.Ben heck
