Hello this is my first post here (be nice). My idea is for a current demand at work. Power outlets are far and few, we have and use a lot of ac tools. Forcing us to have very, very long cords. I envision a box a little bigger then A tackle box, with the power to run Anything a normal wall outlet could(15amp). Normally people would think deep cell lead acid. I'm thinking lipo to save weight and size. The key here is to build in a charge Circuit capable of charging from both ac and dc. and for my work place water resistant, if not water proof there are a lot of guys with hoses washing. it happens, your going to get wet some times soaked.
I Think by hooking up two, 4 cell lipos in parallel we can get a good run Time at max load. lipos have the power to throw a lot of power quick, and also charge fast. But the down fall will be that you only get 300-400 charges, so about a year of normal usage? Before battery's will NEED to be replaced so battery swapping May be even want to be considered. Easy but not super easy, maybe some kind of key lock? Not something that can just bang open.
