DIY IR Tracker

Heey Ben,

I've already watched today's episode, and I look forward to next weeks episode to see what the XBOX One laptop will look like.

Because I've got x-mas holiday, I spend a little bit of my time in creating a DIY IR tracker to use it with simulation games on my pc.

I've gathered 2 IR leds from old remotes, and connected them to two AA battery's, but the IR's are not working.

Sometimes just 1 is working. Can you do a IR Tracker build on The Ben Heck show please?

I didn't use any resistors because I don't know which one i should use.

PS. Try re-connecting them back to the remotes and see if they still work, don't get the polarity wrong though! If your remotes don't go to a device test them by looking at the led through a camera, cameras can see IR, Good thing too, because we can't!

Thanks! I've had that same feeling that the leds have been blown.

Right now I replaced the IR leds with leds that are designed to run from 3 volts.
The downside is that I can see them, but it doesn't irritate me
