bluidevil62 I was going to use it for a arduino project Apart from one Arduino board I know of, all others are 12v max input. This supply is 24v and I doubt the adjustment allows it down to 12v. You…

What would you use it for? I wouldn't .... Just because you have something given/received or recovered doesn't mean you should find a purpose for it. I already gave advise about he safety issues regarding…

    Does it look like this?

    image

It appears to put out 24 volts at .45 amps giving under 12 watts. A very low power high voltage DC. Someone like mcb1 might know a good usage.

    Cheers,

    Clem

Most wall warts are 5V with 500 mA to 2.0 A. Your transformer would need a DC to DC converter which costs more than the previous wall warts.BTW, where did you get/buy this?

Apart from one Arduino board I know of, all others are 12v max input.

This supply is 24v and I doubt the adjustment allows it down to 12v.

You'd need a regulator on the output ....BUT more importantly.

This model is designed to be inside an enclosure as the mains connections are accessible.

Personally I'd go fnd myself a 5v/9v or even 12v plug pack to SAFELY play with your arduino.

Also for the future the Ben heck area isn't the only one on this website, there is arduino, power and a whole range.

Unless clem had tagged me I wouldn;t have found the post and been able to advise you.

    Mark
