A magnetic VA wind turbine for your home, gives out 10 kw, and small...can you make this?

Hi, I'm no expert on this subject, but I was wondering, can you make a "magnetic" Vertical axis wind turbine to create 10kw and small(or at least smaller than other 10kw turbines) and hooked up to your home?

when I say magnetic, I mean replace the turbine blades with magnets(or fix magnets on the blades), have another set mounted to create that constant movement for the generator, that way you wouldn't have to rely on wind anymore, and you could make a weatherproof box for it, hooked to an inverter and then to the fuse box.

could this work?

Hi Josh, Anytime you come across a situation where someone is telling you that you can get energy from permanent magnets pulling or pushing on each other you are being conned. Energy is only available…

    http://www.whirlopedia.com/magnetic-wind-turbines.htm says:

The MagLev wind turbines generally employ "neodymium" or rare earth magnets that don't require electricity to work as would systems equipped with electromagnets. One of the advantages of magnetic wind turbines is that there is little energy loss due to friction.

Lets look at where to get:

Neodymium is a chemical element with symbol Nd and atomic number 60. It is a soft silvery metal that tarnishes in air. Neodymium was discovered in 1885 by the Austrian chemist Carl Auer von Welsbach. It is present in significant quantities in the ore minerals monazite and bastnäsite. Neodymium is not found naturally in metallic form or unmixed with other lanthanides, and it is usually refined for general use. Although neodymium is classed as a "rare earth", it is a fairly common element, no rarer than cobalt, nickel, and copper, and is widely distributed in the Earth's crust.[3] Most of the world's neodymium is mined in China.

Sorry China is far to go to get some... Expensive to buy...

    umm...I found some.

It seems like a really good deal considering the size and pieces:

Nice, but you said 10,000 watts per hour. You may need quite a few of these. BTW, no wind? Sounds like "free energy".

hmm...do you think there is a way to make a homemade generator to produce that much wattage?

if not, then how many would you guess I would need to make to reach 10kwh?
