Hi Ben,

My suggestion is a benchtop power supply based on those plenty availale 19V@3,5A laptop AC adapters. It is basically a Voltage and Current regulator that can be build around those LM2596 DC-DC regulators available on Ebay. You can add cool stuff like a custom display or a neat custom case.
