UV curing varnish is REALLY cool. You wipe it on and it dries in seconds when exposed to UV light. Problem is most people are using lights that aren't strong enough or focused correctly.
I'm sure Ben could build a UV light on a rails that goes back and forth over a piece to cure the finish. It's basically like a scanner, but inverted. It just goes back and forth over the piece a few times to cure it. Also one might build it into a box to keep the UV away from everyone with mirrors on the inside to reflect the light around and a fan to help vent fumes. I'm pretty sure you could varnish all kinds of things, wood, paper, possibly circuit boards for waterproofing. It's defiantly a one week project I think. It's like 1/3rd a 3d printer.
