Two Li-Ion batteris in one pack to use in cellphones

Hi Ben

I own a Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 smart phone and i wish to add more time for my battery so I bought two 2100maH batteries and thought I can connect the both of them togehther and get a double time double "juice"...

So i've solder the Plus on one battery to the Plus of the other and Minus of one battery to the Minus of the other

at first everything was great it as given me 35 hours of battery life !!!  but after the batteries drained and I recharged the both batteries via the cell phone  it seems it recharges just 100% of one battery.

I think that the circut in the battry is not taking into considartion the both batteries so it reports the phone being at 100% and the phone stops the charge.

I think it could be nice episode for DIY project regarding the battery capacity.

I know it will help me alot.

Thnx

Tzahi Maimon

Israel.

BTW: I obviously like your'e show. great job.

You right Steve but have you seen the size of those ? it's huge size and not easy to carry at all not to mention that if the battery is dead it's dead... with no replacement.

I think that if you take two batteries and get total of  4200maH with much smaller size compared to the 7000mah it's a better trade-off and you can always replace a dead battery or return to just one.

And Ben can take it to the next level desiging a neat slim case for the phone and batteries.
