Turning wireless trackball mouse into a wired one

I have no need for wireless feature of the trackball mouse, there is no movement so I don't really mind the cable, plus the batteries are a constant problem. How could I change it into a wired one.

If all you're looking to do is get rid of the dependence on batteries, you could run a USB cable to the track ball and use the power from that instead of the batteries. You'll likely need a regulator to…

That could be (practically) near-impossible due to high level of integration inside the mouse. I don't think there is any usable USB interface inside there that you could connect to.
