What was the point of braiding the paired wires going into the molex connector? Was it simply to make it neater and easier to manage, or does it help with cross-talk or something?

Ben - in future tutorials could you please insert some closeups with a ruler if appropriate so people can get the details of some of the little stuff you show. Especially in a tutorial about connecting wires it would be nice to show novices how much wire to strip and what the connections look like before and after you solder them.

When choosing wire size based on current, I often use this page

Also, those strippers Ben has in the video tend to suck at stripping so a diagonal cutters is easier, they are more meant for crimping. I recommend these
