I did once create some props for a spoof film we were creating at college. I combined a joke eye with coin cell and flashing 10mm LED to create a robot eye for our "Terminated" robot.

I once built a robot rose for a high school production of "Beauty and the Beast". The petals would drop on cue via a laptop. It used a stepper motor and guitar strings run up through the stem to push the petals out. It would even wilt as the petals fell.

Ben already has that in the works. There have been many a dispute about whether building curved floors for the set was necessary. Much physics discussion.
