I have seen some very exotic animatronics, but you did a good job of showing the basic steps need to build one from scratch.

Very cool! And yeah, building the puppet head from scratch would have opened up some opportunities for improvement, one of which could be a reduction in the "bounce" when his lower jaw opens (some elastic to keep the tension taut, perhaps?).

It's amazing how well this turned out. I wish I had the knowledge to make stuff like this. Halloween would never be the same in our house.
