Hi CMNDR Months late on a reply, but I just watched this episode. It looks like STARBOARD (trade name) - a polyethtelyne. Used in the Marine trade all over production boats because it doesn't rot or mildew…

Can you post the SVG. files that you used to cut out all the pieces on your cnc at the 3:28 mark in the video?  Thanks.

Well this thread popped up because someone marked it as video missing (which it is).  But its a good opportunity to let people know about a small/affordable home mill.  Its called the ShapeOko

    http://www.shapeoko.com/

it's available as kits through Inventables, either mechanical only or full kits (with controllers and etc)

    https://www.inventables.com/technologies/cnc-mill-kits-shapeoko

I bought one, the mechanical kit was a good deal and the community is great.  All the plans are open source (a little hard to find though) so you can build one from scratch if you want, several people have on the forums and the original creator is super excited about that.  It's more about a movement than profit for him, though he does sell upgrades and stuff on his site as well.

Several Arduino bases controllers available so you can get an Arduino from E14 (or if you already have one) stick on a grbl shield, pick up some steppers and be good to go.
